On December 12th, Louisville’s Metropolitan Housing Coalition released its 2017 State of Metropolitan Housing Report: The State of Affordable Rental in the Louisville Area. On this edition of Sustainability Now, your host Justin Mog sits down with three of the report’s authors from the University of Louisville: Dr. Lauren Heberle, Director of the Center for Environmental Policy & Management and Associate Professor of Sociology; Dr. Kelly Kinahan, Assistant Professor of Urban & Public Affairs; and Steve Sizemore, a Doctoral Candidate in Urban & Public Affairs. Together we explore some of the highlights of the 2017 report and reflect on the implications for housing justice and more sustainable development of our neighborhoods.
