Why are we talking about Latin America on The Climate Report?
Foreign policy, not least of all with Latin America, involves important questions about how we are governed and by whom we are governed. Climate involves important questions about how we are governed and by whom we are governed.
Plus, the purpose of our trade regime/military/security state is to preserve our unfair advantage on the world stage, whereby we can continue to consume 25% of the world’s resources.
Involves trade deals that are pro-US corporations, anti everyone else. As such, they create huge inefficiencies, as when Haitians go unemployed or work for slave wages because they can’t compete in a rigged market for farm goods.
