Participant’s Bio:

Julia Tasse is a research fellow at IRIS, where she heads the Energy and Climate Program. She is the co-director (with François Gemenne) of the Observatory of Climate Change Impacts on Defense and Security of the French ministry of Armed Forces.
 
Her research focuses on the ocean, security and climate nexus from a geopolitical perspective. She has a specific approach linked to her background in climate sciences (Master in Environmental Sciences) and her experience in the maritime field for various organisations, among which the World Ocean Council, the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN and the French development agency (Agence française de développement).
 
Sharing the academic management of the first year cursus of  IRIS Sup’, she is also part of the editorial board of La Revue internationale et stratégique.
 
Julia Tasse holds a master in international relations and environmental policies from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), a master in environmental sciences from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie and a bachelor in life sciences, major in genetics.
