The Vine is beginning a series on women of the Old Testament which we will call "Overlooked." In this week, we consider Hagar's story.
We have daily readings for this series at thevineaustin.org/overlooked .
Genesis 16
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1. What if anything has been meaningful for you with the daily readings? What questions emerged?
2. What has stayed with you from the sermon- either something encouraging, confusing, or difficult?
3. Read Genesis 16:1-6. What do you think was going on in the minds and hearts of Sarai and Abram?
4. Mark shared that some of our greatest regrets in life come not from wanting a bad thing, but from the impatient decisions while waiting for a good thing. What are you tempted to do when you wait for God's delayed plan?
5. Read Genesis 16:7-14. What is so surprising with this story? Where do you find hope?
6. Consider how your life would be different if you remembered that God's name is The One who Sees and Hears.
