The Vine is beginning our 2023 Lenten Series called SOUL CARE. In this series, we seek to care for our soul through practices, teachings and daily meditations.
In this sermon, Mark shares an introduction to this series and perhaps an introduction to the soul.

REFLECTION QUESTION:
1. What (if any) is your history with the season of Lent?
2. What has been meaningful for you with the daily readings or audio devotional?
3. What has stayed with you from the sermon- either something encouraging, confusing, or difficult?
4. Mark shared from several passages including Psalm 42:1-2 and Psalm 63:1. Why do you think the psalmist returns to the idea that our souls are thirsty for God? Do you resonate with that imagery?
5. Using the story of Kirtland Warblers, Mark shared the mantra- "The loudest voice is not always the one you should feed." What are the loud voices vying for your attention? How can you tell if you have starved your soul?
6. Discuss the idea that all of life is spiritual formation. Conclude by talking about how prayer can uniquely be a form of soul care.
