The Vine is considering the relationship between weakness and strength as displayed in the life of Jesus. The life of those who follow Jesus is a life where we learn the ways of God's love and then learn to pattern our life in response.

4. After Jesus had washed their feet, he said, “I’ve laid down a pattern for you.” How can we wash peoples' feet today? What's an equivalent?
5. Why is it hard to believe that God not only loves you but "it’s you I LIKE?" What's the difference?
