Description

Each year, the Library of Virginia honors 8 women as "Virginia Women in History." This year, the honorees include a champion of women's health, the "princess of black poetry," and the Director of the Indian Program at the VFH, among others. Librarian of Virginia Sandy Treadway sits down with Soundboard's Emily Richardson-Lorente to honor these remarkable women, reflect on their accomplishments, and marvel at the obstacles they overcame.
