Forensic psychiatrist and author Marc Sageman is a former CIA Operations Officer. He advises the U.S. Government on counter-terrorism issues. His books include Understanding Terror Networks, Leadership Jihad, and most recently, Misunderstanding Terrorism. His research has been recognized as being incredibly influential and for revolutionizing the West's understanding of how and why Islamic terrorism is spread.
