It's not hard to find a place to learn piano or guitar, but where do you go to learn the fiddle, mandolin or clawhammer banjo? If you're in Charlottesville, you head out to The Front Porch. This new, laid-back "roots music" school offers lessons in bluegrass, old time, gospel and blues -- all taught by master musicians. Front Porch founder Emily Morrison speaks to Soundboard's Emily Richardson-Lorente about the school's origins, its unexpected success, and just what the heck a "clawhammer banjo" is.
