On February 15, Allen Lowe, Matthew Shipp and Kevin Ray came to the studios of WTJU for an interview with Russell Perry, host of the Friday morning jazz history program "Jazz at 100". Lowe, Shipp and Ray were in town for an amazing concert that evening sponsored by the Charlottesville Jazz Society & WTJU . The interview ranged from discussions about how musicians learn their art to what constitutes "Jazz" in the pluralistic music world of today.
