In spite of our freedom and new life in the Spirit, we all understand and
experience the suffering that is this world. We, along with all of creation, groan for things to be set right. It’s a “holy discontentment” with our current circumstances, moving us to simultaneously join with God in ushering the Kingdom of God into our world and looking forward to a day when all things will be set right, once and for all.
