Description

Years ago before I was called D-Funk I went through a few different Dj names. My friend from school thought I should be called Doug Funnybone after the cartoon Doug that was on TV at the time. I used that name for a few years as well as Smug Doug or Smug Doug Funnybone.

When I was in UK a while ago I found some old cassette tapes & one of them was this old mix recorded in 1999! I managed to get a tape converting device & convert it into digital. The quality isn't great as you can imagine converting from a over 5 year old cassette tape but it's still ok after a few touches in the studio to remove the hum.

The mix was done on all vinyl. That's all we had back then! It's a selection of progressive house & very early break beats. I guess you could call this my earliest 'breaks' mix! I'm not sure on what all the tracks are although I do know classics from the time such as Daphine's 'Change', Sahsa & Emerson's 'Expander', Delerium's 'Silence' & Danny Tenaglia's Turn Me On' are all on the mix.
