In 2015 I released ‘Old Skool Ting’ on the awesome Perth (Western Australia) based Rump Shaker Records. A great break beat label run by The Beatslappaz. I can’t quite believe it been a decade since it came out! Over the last couple of years I’ve been reconnecting with my UK rave culture roots, which lead to me putting together ‘My Rave Tape' (https://soundcloud.com/d-funk/myravetape), a mix that features my favourite & most influential tunes from my raving days in the 90s. Over the years made a few remixes of some of those tunes, like Awesome 3 - ‘Don’t Go' (which is also a free download: https://soundcloud.com/d-funk/d-funk-vs-awesome-3-dont-go-d-funk-mix-free-download). I decided to take another look at my tune ‘Old Skool Ting’ & give it a proper re-make. Switch up the beats, adding new synths & vocal samples. It bangs & now it can be yours for free!
