I remain feeling massively honored & so grateful to have been invited to play music for The Friends & Family Twentieth Anniversary Celebration. This collective of outstanding humans is by far, the most embracing, supportive, open & accepting groups of people I have ever encountered. There's hundreds of us FnF'ers, and I continue to consistently experience an uplift: artistically, co-creatively, deeply personally & individually, collectively. I hold each experience close to my heart and appreciate the ever-growing expansion of meaningful, special & extraordinary connections with friends new and known - every single time we gather ourselves together.
This is my live recording (thank you, Noah!) from Friday night on the main stage 10:00pm - 11:15pm. Wooooosh! I arrived three minutes before my set time (traveling by car 2.5 hours away). I had endured heat exhaustion while packing up my camping gear & barely made it to the event. One hundred & ten degrees that day! I hydrated and cold toweled my face the entire drive to FnF. Although there's really no cell reception at the resort - I was able to contact Sean (dear friend & artist who took this photo, thank you!) and he conveyed to the Site Coordinator of my position & issues with arrival. I am pleased to say, I was met at the gate, asked if my needs were met & swiftly whisked away by the SC golf cart navigating fairy & cohort (Love you, Cara & Pater!) safely delivered to the mind blowing main stage outdoors in the woods. And so it is, satisfied a long time held dream of mine playing at night for FnF Summer Campout ✨ with the best light show ever (Radiant Atmospheres) & the best, tuned in, crystal clear sound system (Brad Katz / JK Sound / Alcons Audio). I can tell you that as I walked up to the decks, I was met with some of the most important & favorite people I'm so blessed to know. Looking out at y'all on the dance floor - I was overwhelmed by the deeply loving, joy filled, open & available gathering of beautiful humans I have ever witnessed.
THANK YOU. I am in awe by the magic and hugely meaningful thing that is what we do. I send each of you all my unwavering love and admiration. I cannot wait for next year!
