Air Snare records is very proud to present the very first artist LP ever released on the label, and what better way to start this new serie with the debut album of RISE 1969, making here his very promising first steps into the world of electronic music.

About Critical Mass :
Bored of the same old plinky plonk everywhere all the time, Critical Mass is a retreat into some previously unexplored fields of techno. At times hard-hitting, at others melancholic, always experimental. A play on time, depth, space and what can or can not be considered music. Abandon all hopes to define or categorise, this album does not appeal to one scene or set time. Dance music at its steepest and most-daring moments. An introspective outlook on industrial resistance art.

About Rise 1969:
Born in the UK and raised in Beyrouth, 23 year old William Mahfoud (aka Rise 1969) returned to London to obtain his degree in sound engineering from SAE Institute and has successfully drilled his way through the English electronic music
scene. From taking part in the not-so-legal raves in London to playing gigs in The Ministry of Sound, and being associated with indie labels like ABCD, Metafiziq, Air Snare and the up-and-coming Lebanese label Din Is Noise records, Williamʼs music ranges between dark techno beats that carry a perceptible Middle-Eastern influence and sound experimentations involving EEG, neuro-feedback, brain waves and psychoacoustics. He is now working between Beyrouth and Dubai, working on his album release and collaborations with artists within the local scenes.
