Romans 14:1-8
During the religious fervor of the Second Great Awakening, a Baptist preacher popularly predicted that Jesus would return in 1844. This was followed by “the great disappointment.” Others latched onto a new interpretation that still looked forward to Jesus’s imminent return, his advent. They also ditched Sunday as their day of worship and followed a more Jewish observance of the Sabbath. Who are the Seventh-Day Adventists? Are they Christians or not?
