Written by Casey Bennetto as an exercise in hyper-distilled pop for ABC TV's 'Get Krack!n' (Kate McLennan & Kate McCartney) and sung by GQ. Re-gifted by the Kates to Casey when they found they didn't have a space for it in the show (they did love it though).
'I Am' was then entered into 'Eurovision 2020 - Australia Decides', almost on a whim by CB with GQ's hearty encouragement. And it made it to the Top 20 longlist - before being culled out of the Top 10. Then singer Geraldine Quinn (me) made a music video in her lounge-room over 12 hours in 35 degree heat, a few seconds of which was aired during the 'Australia Decides' broadcast and an underground banger was sneak-released to a nation. Oh you done goofed, guys, you done goofed...
