Hugh “Boogie” McDaid was my uncle. He was tragically killed before I was born, yet his presence in my family has been unmistakable. An eccentric, a rogue, a friend, a beloved son and brother. He lived a short life but one that was full of craic, mischief and music. I set out to learn more about him and the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.
