Louise Burne looks at her experience of having a south Dublin accent to see if growing up with this accent has led to unfair preconceptions of her accent. Accents are something we have no control over and are largely formed by our parents, where we went to school and where we grew up. However, as human beings, we are extremely quick to judge people on their accent and form preconceptions about people based on the way they speak.
