The Hawaii Supreme Court hears oral arguments in Hawaii v. Wilson, No. SCAP-22-0000561, on July 6, 2023.
The case is about gun rights in the state of Hawaii. By a decision on February 7, 2024, the court ruled that the Hawaii Constitution does not confirm the right to carry a gun in public.
"We hold that in Hawaiʻi there is no state constitutional
right to carry a firearm in public," the decision reads
