Description

The U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments in Trump v. New York, No. 20-366, on November 30, 2020.

The outcome will determine whether the Trump administration can exclude immigrants from the 2020 Census.

The National Congress of American Indians submitted a friend of the court brief in the case, pointing out that the U.S. government once tried to exclude Indian people from the definition of "persons" under U.S. law.
