Description

We review Total War; Three Kingdoms and Rage2, and the Guy Ritchie directed Aladdin.

Returning to video games, we start the show with our thoughts on Total War: Three Kingdoms. This time the long-running series heads to ancient China, with a setting based on 14th-century conflicts of the Han Dynasty. It blends historical events with the more mythical aspects of the legends, served with the pedigree of Creative Assembly's other games. We've been fervently anticipating this game, and we can't wait to tell our thoughts on this game.

Also in video games, we discuss Rage 2, the sequel to the Id software classic from 2010. Tim Willits directed the original Rage and is the final game to involve the legendary developer John Carmack. The sequel now is helmed by Magnus Nedfors, best known for his work on the Mad Max video game. We are a little sceptical about the game, so we ask if this is a case of ten years too late?

And in our main segment, we review Aladdin, the live-action remake of the Disney classic. We are huge fans of the original animated film, featuring the brilliant performance of the late Robin Williams. So will the live-action version step out of the monumental shadow of the 1992 movie?
