Objects are typically considered ‘dead’ and passive things used to complete tasks and as symbols of self-branding. This presentation provides an alternative view and discusses the power of objects and their impact in organising social life. It also surfaces the idea of human-object hybrids by exploring the lived experiences of individuals with artificial body parts.
