Title: The pursuit of Olympic ideals - physical, neural and aesthetic

Date: Thursday, 28th June 2012

This event will explore how ancient Greek ideals of beauty, achievement and politics shaped the original Olympic games. Professor Chris Carey (UCL Greek and Latin) and Professor Semir Zeki (UCL Neuroesthetics) will discuss what constitutes ideals in neural terms and how they are formed and transformed in the brain.
