After three years of teaching and 40 days of post resurrection appearances the first followers of Jesus are about to be turned loose into the world: ready or not! In our Epistle for today Paul unpacks the incredible gifts Jesus has bestowed on us for being Jesus “witnesses … to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:11): “Eyes of your hearts enlightened…”; “the hope to which he has called you”; “the riches of his glorious inheritance”; “the immeasurable greatness of his power” (Ephesians 1:10-18). Here we go! Ready or Not!
