Sri Lankans coming to Romania bring more than just their working skills—they bring their art, culture, dreams, and a thriving underground music scene. Coming from an island where progressive houses are on the rise, they’re quietly shaping a nightlife that most locals have yet to discover. Originally from eastern Sri Lanka, Dan D first got behind the decks in 2018. But it’s here in Bucharest where he’s really been sharpening his skills. He’s also played in Milan, where a tight-knit progressive scene brings together Sri Lankans from all over Italy, and often invites DJs like Dan, now based in Romania.
