When your root chakra is in balance, energy flows in two directions. The chakra releases energy downward, like a lightning rod, while at the same time drawing energy upward from the earth. As a result, you feel secure and safe. Life is stable, but filled with active, positive energy, and your patience and sense of community brings rewarding relationships.
Some of the characteristics of this chakra in balance: good health, vitality, being well grounded, feeling comfortable in your body, having a sense of trust in the world, and a feeling of safety and security; being able to relax and be still, stability, prosperity and right livelihood.
