I Just Close My Eyes
In Memoriam of Francesco Certo Sr.
He just closed his eyes to the world
as he passed upward smiling.
Visions of family welcomed him in.
I know that he’s safe with the good LORD in heaven.
We all know God has watched over him.
And during his life though his lessons were many,
and I a disobient son,
He still would stand willing,
my cup overfilling.
Truly a man of great conviction.
When I think of his voice now, I am as overtaken
as when he was right here next to me.
He left us all dreaming, of treasures and streams with our hearts let us lift Frank toHIM
Oh GOD of Creation!
Thank you,this elation
of knowing father rests there with you
If passing leaves bothered
those knowing my father,
just think now of where he must be.
In Paradise’s shelter
with our LORD in Heaven,
Riding swift upon angel’s wings.
I find myself crying while I am questioning
the truth about the nature of things.
I remember he taught me
that rough, it all ought be.
For nothing easy’s worth having.
This man that HE gave us,
Is verily the truest
man that I have met in my days.
Nothing could I offer to replace my father
I love him more than even these words say.
