Kindness’ Worth
To the Ungrateful
When I think back
I remember when
I said to you
You are my friend
And I carry the weight which is my load
To Follow down untraveled roads
It was cold and bitter
For all of my life
I’ve felt warmth
So that’s a lie
I remember when
We’d always lie
Down in the bed
That was our life
We carried the failure in our minds
We hoped and we prayed
To save our lives
you can remember, I always said
This isn’t over until we’re dead
Give us a purpose
Give us a drive
Let us know that
We’re alive
And
Tell us that we’re loved
