PsyLush brought us together for another Winter Solstice gathering, and it was nothing short of stellar, enchanting, and uplifting. A new space that yielded adventure, a bouncing community of revellers, and a top notch bill of entertainment, deco, and visuals -- I can't think of a better way to welcome back the light. 🔥
I had posted about leaning into a bit more spirit and soul for this set in the days leading up to the event. The results speak for themselves -- the first 30 minutes or so are steeped firmly in the progressive psytrance sound, perhaps even bordering on progressive trance with all the melancholy melodies and venerable vocals -- but making sure to dust some danceable driving basslines in there as well to keep our feet moving.
I've always loved trance music -- from acid to deep, from progressive to psychedelic. I'm delighted that we all went on this journey through its flavours and tapestries together.
