Luke 9:51
• The Kingdom of Heaven doesn't make sense to unbelievers, such as the lifestyle of preferring others over ourselves.
• Leading up to Easter was very confusing, difficult & disorienting for the disciples of Jesus Christ.
• They knew that Jesus was more than just a man by the supernatural miracles in the short time that He was with them.
• They wanted & were looking for dominion, but instead the Lord knew that they needed redemption.
• When those not of Israel rejected the Kingdom of God, the disciples wanted to show dominion by raining fire on them.
• Jesus could have spent more time teaching & healing people, but what they needed instead was redemption.
• Jesus doesn't invite us to only celebrate the Lord's gift & victory over death, & the grave, instead, we are invited to carry our own mission (cross) & follow the Lord.
• All of us have a journey, & a set of gifts given to us. We would do better emotionally if we help someone else using our own experiences & gifts.
• Concerning the difficult experiences which we have gone through:
1. Find a redemptive elements in those experiences.
2. Help someone else going through similar experiences.
• We can't pay love back to God, but we can pay love forward to others.
• Jesus was holy & pure even after being tested. The Lord's testing made Him an intercessor, as testing will also do for us.
• The difficulties that we have come through qualify us to help someone else through their difficulties as well.
