You are not alone…

Three lies:
• Because I feel alone, I am alone
• No one understands what I’m going through
• God must not love me

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.” So Joseph died, being 110 years old. They embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt”(Gen 50:24-26).
Twice Joseph says, “God will visit you.”

Joseph never doubted the promises of God… including the covenant, God gave to his grandfather Abraham.
Joseph did not try to change the promised land to be Egypt, rather than Canaan.

Despite his personal success, Joseph sees how he is connected to the larger work of God. The work does not begin and end with him.
Joseph wants to be included in the covenant with God, even if he has died. He commands them not to leave his bones in Egypt. He is not an Egyptian.

Joseph has a correct view of Egypt. He does not “hate” Egypt. But he wants the generations to know that he is of the house of God.
We all of us must be awakened to spiritual destiny, just as Joseph was…

We must commit our lives to become what God would have us to be…
We must be honorable even in trial and suffering…
When our spiritual destiny meets God’s preparation, we are elevated into ministry and purpose.

At the end of our journey, we must speak a blessing to those who follow. We must give away what God has given us.
