There is a healthy fear that builds faith and allows us to see the truth and the correct comparison between God and mankind.
We know that unhealthy fear is dangerous. It is viral & it spreads.
I want to try to show the reality of how unhealthy fear destroys faith.
What unhealthy fear becomes is diametrically opposed to our faith.
Unhealthy fear shows us that despite David having been anointed by a prophet and on his way to the top position in the kingdom, he said, “. . . There is but a step between me and death. . .”
This is the power of unhealthy fear:
Like David, we have the presence of God, but fear makes us forget God's presence.
David would say and sing: Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

How do we overcome fear? We face it!

“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:29-31)
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32)
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27)
“For He (God) Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5-6)
