Description

Recently Puku Children’s Book hosted its fourth annual installment of the children’s book festival. We had an interview with Elinor Sisulu, the chairperson of the festival. She spoke about the importance of reading at an early age. Sisulu attribute her love for the book to her grandparents who read to her and encouraged her to read. Her passion for the books opened her eyes to the politics of the time and the lack of literature that
reflected her realities as a young black woman in Zimbabwe inspired her to embark on a journey to promote early childhood reading. Listen as she shares her story.
