Compete in good, but with adab. If two people want to call Athan in a Masjid at the same time, they should each prefer the other, not fight and bicker. If there’s one spot left in the first row, and two people move towards it simultaneously, again, they should prefer each other. Love for your brother what you love for yourself, and remember that quantity is to be coupled with quality.
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
