Make tawba a daily sanctuary. Adam was given knowledge, but it wasn’t until after tawba that he was officially given the mantle of ‘khalifa.’ Likewise, with Dawud, in Surat Sād, only after tawba, does Allah directly address him as ‘khalifa.’ يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ
