It's a new year over here at The Save Room, so it goes without saying that we had to look back and remember 2018. And what a better way to do that than with a bevy of superlatives and video game lists because who doesn't love lists. That's right, our 2018 Game of the Year episode is finally here!
On what is our longest episode to date we look back on the highs and lows of 2018. It was a year of controversy and gamer outrage, but despite that there were many notable moments for the industry as well that made video games shine. The meat of the episode though is our Game of the Year conversation where we do a back and forth on our respective top 5 games of last year with some honorable mentions sprinkled on top.
2018 was a phenomenal year for video games and one that is well worth talking about. But what made last year especially great was you, the listener. So if you happen to make it to the end of this trash-fire retrospect, there's a special shoutout to you all at the end. Thanks for making 2018 a great year for us.
