This week on The Save Room, the future of gaming is almost here, so throw out your consoles because they don't matter anymore. Google has finally announced its console-less cloud streaming platform, Stadia. Stadia boasts the ability to be streamed from any device and all from a controller that connects via wifi to an app while promising 8K resolution. ( Wha-whaaat?) The announcement which dropped at GDC 2019 left a lot of questions such as pricing, data caps, consistent experiences due to internet speeds, and what first party games will come down the line. It has spawned various conversations across the industry about the future of gaming and how we're inevitably heading towards a stream-only future.
We also dish on how Sony ripped off Nintendo Directs with its new State of Play, get hyped on more Mortal Kombat 11 news, and Daniel loses his mind over Cuphead coming to the Switch.
If you have the stomach for it and your ears don't hate us, then stick around for the tail end of the episode where you'll hear our thoughts on DmC: Devil May Cry, The Division 2, and of course, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. So tune in to find out how many times we've died at this point because it's definitely more than twice. (Spoilers: it's a lot).
