Description

Welcome to the inaugural episode of The Save Room Plays--a brand new show dedicated to, well, the games we are playing! How is this different than our previous episodes and why did we do this, you ask? Well, that's for our sponsors to know and you to find out.

The first episode is a buffet of conversation as we dish on the last decade of gaming. The 2010's were a wildly exciting time for video games as we saw the medium break through and rival movies with the rise of graphics and narrative excellence. Franchises like Mass Effect, God of War, Batman Arkham, and Uncharted spanned across two different console generations and told complete and brilliant arcs for characters. We saw studios like Telltale and Naughty Dog tell breathtaking and heartbreaking stories with their efforts and witnessed studios like Blizzard and Capcom make a new name for themselves. Even Indies like Journey and Gone Home proved smaller titles could immerse you in ways that AAA games could and that the size of the game doesn't equate to its greatness. Each year of the 2010s was as exciting as the last as we saw the decade push forward into a new era of technology. It was definitely a rewarding time to be a gamer as developers put their all in their craft to deliver standout experiences.

Also on this episode, we talk about the comeback of Star Wars Battlefront 2, Daniel drinks with the Devil in After Party, and Kevin talks about his trip down retro gaming lane. So grab a drink, cozy up, and join your favorite Save Room boys for The Save Room Plays.
