Description

Scientist - aka Hopeton Overton Brown - can take a lovely reggae song and twist it into a whole other science fiction dub universe. His bass textures alone are a thing of wonder - many remixers just turn it up but Scientist sculpts the bass into something new.
Here are some of his best dubs at 320 kbps with the rock-solid Roots Radics band, featuring Errol Flabba Holt on heavyweight bass and Style Scott (RIP) on drums.
The album Scientist Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of Vampires is a gateway to his music. It's been reissued by VP Records with the producer credit, Junjo (Lawes), in place of Scientist's. Same music, but the original Greensleeves discs may have better sound quality. You decide!
