Hailing from Philly, Jay HIll is a commanding force in the growing Philadelphia techno scene. Her productions and live sets boast sort of understated glamour and finesse that are both contemplative and cerebral. All of these features follow suit on her latest endeavour titled "The King". As the second release on FM Elle, she keeps the fire burning with a sultry two-tracker that delves into some of her more atmospheric musical ideas and soundscapes. The A side, "The King", features abstract sampling techniques and blissful synth arpeggios while the B side, "Lion & Lamb" has more jagged textures and a darker feel to exquisitely juxtapose the former.
