A character whose original concept came from an offhand comment by Marvel's publisher, Bill Jemas, Isaiah Bradley has more than proven himself worthy of the title “The First Captain America.” His history is rooted in what many of us can relate to today: working twice as hard as our white counterparts just to be seen as half as good.
Bradley is a national treasure. He’s depicted as a legend in the Marvel universe in the African American community as well as the [African American/Black] super powered/hero community.
