Legendary Arkansas DJ Bob Robbins discuss his long history on the airwaves. Robbins has been a fixture of Arkansas radio since 1967, when he began working for KAAY in Little Rock and in 1979 moved to KSSN 96 FM. Today he hosts the morning show on the WOLF 105.1 “Home of country legends” where he aptly fits. In 2013, he was named Broadcast Personality of the Year by the Country Music Association, the people behind the CMT Awards.
Bob’s life is that of which books are written. He was born in Florida, orphaned at age 10, and broadcasting on the radio in Morocco, Africa, by age 14. In addition to his radio career, he has been a Navy man, an entrepreneur and owner of BJ Star Studded Honkey Tonk where he cheated death, when he was attacked and almost beaten to death with a baseball bat.
