Our guest today on Up In Your Business is Mr. David Soos of Soos Stained Glass in North Little Rock, AR.
Mr. Soos has done what many an artist long to do: turn their art into an income producing business.
Soos Stained Glass, founded in 1979, creates products that are hand-made and rooted in history and tradition by craftsmen and their apprentices. Their products are designed to last 100’s of years and provide enjoyment for generations to come. All these qualities are a rarity in our current Capitalist economy that rewards short-term gains and disposable consumerism.
Today we will talk about the technique of glass blowing, find out if Soos is still teaching at the Arkansas Art Center, and of course, about the business of art making.
