Ep 218 | Aired 11/11/2020

Today on Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy, I have the pleasure of interviewing the youngest indie comic book publishers in America, the creative husband and wife team, Mitch and Elizabeth Breitweiser.

Though we may all feel like comic book characters are everywhere in our block buster movies and video games, the truth is very few new ones are being made and especially not being printed, published, and distributed in the old-fashioned comic book style or business model.

In the year of COVID-19, which we will all remember, this young brave couple launched Allegiance Art, made a Shark Tank-like presentation to Walmart and, after a 20 year absence in the comic book industry, Walmart began selling and distributing the Breitweiser’s titles and heros, including “Norah’s Saga,” “The Futurists,” “Red Rooster” and the Arkansan-based “Bass Reeves” in their 3,000+ stores.

Listen to hear how the ballsy, busy Breitweiser’s did it.
