Today on Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy, I have the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Perry Smith, the man who is bringing back the much loved Arkansas restaurant, Minute Man.
Mr. Smith is interesting. Some of his more notable accomplishments include being a champion pole vault athlete, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, a self-made millionaire, and an entrepreneur. He is founder of the Matchbox Food Group, the Avalon Leadership Institute and now, thankfully, he has set his radar on reviving the Minute Man Hamburger brand.
Listen as I find out how Perry turned Matchbox Food Group into a $50 million dollar business, what leadership tips he teaches at his Avalon Institute, and his plans for Minute Man Hamburgers. We will also get a fast food history lesson about Wes Hall, founder of Minute Man in 1948, who pioneered the use of the Radarange (microwave) in his restaurants to make his famous Radar Deep Dish Pies, and gave Magic Meals to kids before McDonalds had thought of it.
