My guest today on Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy is a jack-of-all-trades: Dr. Henri Roca. This big-brained medical doctor’s first degree was in geoengineering and his first successful career was working for big oil and gas companies.
Somewhere in his 30’s, he had what I’d call an identity crisis and went soul searching in California. While there, he became a masseuse, a Shaman and came to the realization that helping people is what he really wanted to do and that the best way to do that was to get a medical license.
It was in 1997 that Dr. Henri Roca graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and began his family practice. Dr. Roca is among the few (but growing) number of physicians in the nation who practice integrative, functional medicine. He understands there is little separation between the mind, the emotions, the spirit, and the body.
He says, “Everything that has ever happened to you, every choice you have ever made, brings you to the health you have today.”
This Louisiana transplant is now working at the VA in Little Rock, Arkansas and has opened a private practice in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
