My guest today on Up In Your Business with Kerry McCoy is the owner of one of the oldest family businesses in Arkansas: Justin Wittenberg of Ruebel Funeral Home, which was founded in 1901 on the corner of 6th and Main Streets in Little Rock.
It wasn’t until 1953 when Justin’s grandfather, George Wittenberg (who was hired on as a secretary), started the Wittenberg’s on the path to becoming part owners of the already established business. Twenty years later, George’s son, Tom Wittenberg, would join the firm, becoming its president in 1983 and sole owner by 1997.
Today, the family legacy lives on in Justin Wittenberg as the working owner, taking special care in helping clients navigate the grieving process and end of life decisions.
