Description

The first professional skateboarder lived at 864 Riverbridge Ln. in Steelhead, West Virginia. Born of Greek immigrants, Neil Theodokis was sponsored remotely by the Greek government in 1969 in hopes of seeing the sport of skateboarding in the Olympics. His father Stan Theodokis was a concrete worker and built an extensive series of 'skateboard tracks' on their three acre land. His mother always fear that Neil would get hurt but, the money from the Greeks kept pouring in for the Olympic hopeful. Skateboarding didn't become an Olympic sport until 2020. But, Neil lived a very comfortable lifestyle well into his 80s.
