My brother told me a story about a bicycle bell company. They are a small company and all they make is one particular bell for bicycles. They didn't get a patent for their bell and so other companies made knock offs and outsourced them to China so they could sell them for ten dollars. So, in turn the original company has to sell their bells for fifty dollars to survive. On certain shopping websites the original company is being called scammers for selling their bells for a more expensive price even though they invented the bell originally.
